One-day-old chicks should be transported from the incubator station to the farm in a special vehicle with air conditioning Transport must be fast and under optimal conditions. If the chickens are transported in the summer, the transport must be carried out early in the morning or in the evening. It is best to transport in air-conditioned vehicles, because in this way we will save the chicks from stress due to inadequate temperature.

Overheating a chicken is just as harmful as a cold. Long and inadequate transport causes the chickens to become dehydrated, and can lead to their catching a cold and other unwanted consequences. Tortured chickens progress less well and have a higher percentage of deaths, especially in the first days of fattening.

Chickens are usually delivered from the incubator station to the facility in cardboard boxes, which have wrinkled – rough paper at the bottom, which prevents the chickens from being injured during transport by slipping and scratching. Upon arrival, they are immediately removed from the boxes and placed in the prepared poultry house.
